The band is made up of four musicians with a wide background of musical experience and a high level of expertise. The band is hard-working, and has been for 9 years in the Charleston, SC area.

Charleston, South Carolina is a modern day cultural melting pot, which leaves Blue Plantation with the opportunity to serve up the musical main course for Charlestonians and tourists alike.

About the Band:
There's always four of us, but you might not see the same bassist with us every night. We are very lucky to have access to the finest bassists in Charleston, and we take full advantage!

David Vaughan - Mandolin, Vocals

David is originally from Greenwood, South Carolina and currently resides on Johns Island. He is a graduate of The Citadel class of 2000, and he brings to the table a rich tenor voice combined with a wonderful rhythmic style of his own on the mandolin. David has played with many local bands over the past decade and has learned a great deal about Charleston's music scene. He is influenced by many great musicians of all music styles from rock to jazz, but mostly by virtuoso mandolinist David Grisman, and therefore brings forth the element of "Dawg" music.

David is also an entrepeneur, and is the founder and owner of Carolina Guardian Home Inventory Services, LLC, which provides professional third-party home and business inventory services documenting personal property for safe keeping in the event of a loss.
